08 Madeb Tools browser extension
Madeb Tools is a Google Chrome extension made by Madeb Law, P.L.L.C. for its own staff. It is distributed as an unlisted Chrome Web Store item and is not intended for clients or the public.
What the extension does
- Shows a side panel that fills forms on creditor portals (currently Stripe's UCC lien notice request form) with case information supplied by the MadebLawTools desktop application installed on the same computer.
- Syncs MyCase calendar events and task activity to the firm's own systems.
- Adds document-placeholder buttons on MyCase pages.
Information the extension handles
- Case information (business names, tax identification numbers, balances, and documents such as bank statements and lien notice packets) is read from the MadebLawTools application over a local connection on the user's own computer. This information is displayed to the staff member and entered into a portal form only when the staff member asks for it. The extension never submits a form on its own, and it does not transmit this information to Madeb Law's servers or to any third party.
- The staff member's MyCase session cookie is read and sent to the firm's own platform, hosted on Google Cloud, so the firm can record task completion. It is not shared with anyone outside the firm.
- Extension settings and a short-lived pairing secret are stored in the browser's extension storage on the user's computer.
What the extension does not do
- It does not collect browsing history, keystrokes, or the content of web pages other than the specific portal forms it fills and the MyCase pages it adds buttons to.
- It does not use analytics, advertising, or remote code.
- It does not sell or share information with third parties, and it does not use information for purposes unrelated to the firm's legal work.
Retention
Information handled by the extension is kept only for the current browsing session, except settings, which remain until the extension is removed. Records held in the firm's platform are retained under the firm's normal document retention practices.
Questions about the extension may be sent to Info@MadebLaw.com.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting information about your visits by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google's use of this information is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
